Bernard Kerik, Scary Nominee for Homeland Security

Seems that Bernard Kerik, Bush's nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security, is a scary, even unsavory figure with a taste for thuggery and fear-mongering.

Scott Shields of DemWatch does a superb job this morning of summing Kerik's background/scandals as head of NYC's Department of Corrections, NYPD and the Iraqi Coalition Provisional Authority, where he earned the nickname "Baghdad terminator."

I urge you to take a minute to read his blog. It's eye-opening.
